Developer Terms
Last updated 12 August 2026
Drafted for FreeAppDrop's actual developer program, not generic filler — but it hasn't had a lawyer's review. Get one before onboarding real developers at scale.
Who can submit
Any individual or company that owns, or has explicit rights to distribute promo codes for, an app they submit. By submitting an app, you confirm you have the legal right to do so and that your listing doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
What you can submit
Apps you own or have explicit rights to distribute promo codes for, with accurate pricing, descriptions and screenshots. Codes must be genuine — issued through App Store Connect (or the equivalent store) for the app listed. Submitting fake, expired, or already-redeemed codes is a violation of these terms.
Moderation
Every app and promotion is reviewed before it goes live. We may reject or later remove a listing that's misleading, uses codes that don't work, or violates the App Store's guidelines — including anything that incentivizes reviews or ratings, which we don't allow on FreeAppDrop. We'll tell you why a submission was rejected so you can fix it and resubmit.
Plan limits
The Free plan includes 1 app, 1 active promotion, and 25 codes per month. The Unlimited plan (£3/month) removes those caps. Limits are enforced automatically and shown in your dashboard. We may adjust plan limits or pricing going forward; existing subscribers will be given notice before a price change takes effect.
The first 50 developers to create an account get the Unlimited plan's limits for free, permanently, as part of our founding-developer program — this doesn't expire or convert to a paid subscription later.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe, in advance, and auto-renew until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't offer partial-period refunds except where required by law.
Prohibited conduct
Don't submit apps or promotions that are illegal, infringe intellectual property, are misleading about price or functionality, or attempt to manipulate FreeAppDrop's ranking or visibility algorithms (for example, by generating fake claims). Violations may result in listing removal and, for repeated or serious violations, account suspension.
Data you can see
You can see aggregate analytics for your own apps and promotions (views, claims, conversion). You cannot see the identity of individual users who claim your codes.
Intellectual property
You keep all rights to your app, name, and assets. By submitting a listing, you grant FreeAppDrop a non-exclusive license to display your app's name, icon, screenshots, and description on the platform for the purpose of operating the marketplace.
Termination
You can remove your listings and close your developer account at any time. We may suspend or remove a developer's listings for violating these terms, and reserve the right to terminate a developer account for serious or repeated violations.
Liability
FreeAppDrop is a discovery and distribution platform — we're not a party to any transaction between you and users who claim your codes, and we're not liable for how users use codes you've issued.
Changes
We may update these terms as the program evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
